Dr. Amy Poole

Dr. Poole brings a wealth of diverse experience to Kilmarnock Animal Hospital. Since graduating from Ross University in 2007, she has practiced in major hubs across the U.S., including Northern Virginia, Philadelphia, Austin, and Seattle. This "coast-to-coast" expertise allows her to offer a sophisticated level of care right here in her hometown.

A White Stone native, Dr. Poole’s journey came full circle in 2020. Faced with the challenges of the pandemic—and with her third child on the way—she and her family moved from Seattle back home to the Northern Neck to be closer to family and the water.​

While she enjoys all aspects of general practice, she has a clinical focus on ultrasound and advanced soft tissue surgery.​

Life outside the clinic is a busy, happy whirlwind in Irvington, where she resides with her husband and three children. She shares her home with an English Labrador named Beacon, a hamster, and multiple fish.
