Practice Owner & Veterinarian

Dr. Cunningham is a practice owner of Kilmarnock Animal Hospital, Heathsville Animal Clinic, and Warsaw Animal Clinic. Having served as an owner for decades alongside her partners—Drs. Molineaux, Jewell, and Armstrong—she has been instrumental in shaping the legacy of veterinary care in the Northern Neck.

As a full-time veterinarian practicing out of the Kilmarnock and Heathsville locations, Dr. Cunningham remains deeply committed to the daily health of her patients. She brings a unique blend of clinical expertise and a lifetime of athletic discipline to her work, maintaining a hands-on approach to medicine even while leading three busy practices.

Growing up in Maryland as a competitive gymnast and avid equestrian, Dr. Cunningham learned the value of hard work early on—a trait that fueled her academic journey at the University of Maryland and the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine, where she graduated in 1993. Shortly after graduation, she was recruited by her colleague, Dr. Molineaux, to join the local veterinary community.

Over 30 years later, she remains a pillar of local medicine and a trusted name in the community she calls home. Outside the clinic, Dr. Cunningham is a blur of activity. Whether she is staying fit or walking her two beloved pitbulls, she is always on the move. At home, she is kept company by her senior cat and is an expert in the art of gluten-free living.
