Heather Clarke

Heather is a cornerstone of the Warsaw Animal Clinic medical team, bringing nearly three decades of dedicated animal care experience to our patients. A native of Westmoreland County, her journey in veterinary medicine began right here in the Northern Neck when she started working in the kennels at Old Heathsville Animal Clinic at age 16.

Heather pursued her professional training at Blue Ridge Community College, graduating from the Veterinary Technology program and earning her license in 1997. After spending several years honing her skills in various practices across the Fredericksburg and Northern Virginia areas, she returned home to join Warsaw Animal Clinic in 2005.

Behind the Scenes:
It is no secret around the clinic that Heather is a devoted feline advocate. She firmly believes that cats are the absolute best, and she wears the "crazy cat lady" title as a badge of honor. While cats hold the top spot, Corgis are a very close second—a passion currently fueled by her dog Pickles.

When she isn't assisting in exams or surgery, Heather enjoys spending quality time with her family, curating her garden, exploring local farmers markets, and getting lost in a good book.
