Permanent Staff
Ash
Every clinic needs a heart, and ours just happens to have four paws and a very unique voice. Ash joined the team two years ago under some pretty dramatic circumstances, but he’s been running the show ever since.
From Stray to Supervisor
Ash’s journey began when he was brought into the emergency room as a tiny stray kitten. His finders were convinced he had something stuck in his throat because of the unusual sound he made. After a thorough check-up, it turned out there was no blockage—Ash just didn’t get the memo on how to “meow” properly! Instead, he greeted the world with a distinctive, bird-like chirp that he still uses today to demand treats or attention.
Finding a Forever Home
Recognizing a special soul when she saw one, Dr. Jewell brought him to the clinic to live full-time. What started as a rescue mission turned into a permanent residency. Ash quickly traded the life of a stray for the life of a professional clinic cat, providing “moral support” to the staff and keeping a watchful eye on the daily goings-on.
Life at the Clinic
In the two years he’s been with us, Ash has mastered several key roles:
• Chief Greeting Officer: Welcoming visitors with his signature chirp.
• Quality Control Specialist: Testing the comfort level of every keyboard and warm laundry pile.
• Professional Napper: Finding the exact patch of sunlight in any room.
If you hear a strange trill or a happy chirp during your visit, don’t worry—that’s just Ash saying hello. Feel free to give him a chin scratch; he’ll likely thank you with a chirp!
